Daimler Financial Services supports the sales of Daimler Groups automobile brands with tailor-made financial services. The products extend from leasing, retail financing, and dealer financing to commercial fleet management, insurance solutions, banking services, and innovative mobility services, e.g. the car2go brand. Daimler Financial Services operates in 40 countries. With more than 7,000 employees, the company services a contract volume of about 80 billion Euros.

Your tasks will be:

- Support of preparation, consolidation and review of Financial Statements for the DFS Division in accordance with IFRS and Daimler Group requirements

- Monitoring the reporting of DFS subsidiaries and ensuring the deadlines in Group closing

- Support the accurate and timeliness of reporting/presentation for actual and planning periods

- Gather information, evaluate data and prepare the reporting to Head Office and DFS senior management

- Review all content for technical interpretation, strategy and consistency

- Prepare and collate commentaries for variances analyses

- Take part in DFS projects regarding Accounting and Reporting issues

 

Qualification

- For our growing activities in East Asia, we are looking for a professional, who has a diverse professional background combined with knowledge of Asian cultures. Amongst sound business English additional respective language skills (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Korean languages) are a plus.

- The individual will possess:

- University degree or equivalent education in Finance & Accounting

- Professional qualifications like ACCA/CIMA/CPA or comparable/similar are a plus

- Sound IFRS knowledge

- Familiarity with accounting / reporting systems SAP, MIF and TM1

- Solid Microsoft Office skills

- Problem Solving and Decision Making:

- Strong communication skills, verbal & written (in English)

- Ability to work under pressure and achieve results. Requires flexibility and multi-tasking

- Ability to learn tasks quickly and take on a variety of tasks

- Possess analytical, investigative and strong reconciliation skills

- Good time-management skills with ability to work independently to plan and prioritise workload

- Ability to effectively communicate point of view to all levels of management, and cross-functional teams

- Able to meet stringent deadlines getting the results in a manner that is in line with company behavioural values

- Initiative/Getting Things Done:

- Teamwork/Communication

- Professional attitude with good interpersonal skills and a strong team player

- Contact person for accounting matters of DFS subsidiaries

- Liaise with Controlling for information exchange and reconciliation
