Employment – full time
Tasks
· To ensure the proper implementation of all BMW Purchasing China related processes. To be familiar with all Global Sourcing activities in Asia. Substantial contribution in target achievement of purchasing office in Asia.
Key Responsibilities
· Understand the BMW Purchasing process
· Able to support suppliers in preparation of quotations
· Good knowledge of the Chinese supplier base related to his responsible field -able to evaluate new potential suppliers regarding the BMW tools -represent purchasing related requirements in cooperation with partners in quality and logistics
· Compilation and translation (Chinese to English/German) of all relevant documents -Analyze and check quotations to reach an effective level of cost transparency
· Issue request for quotation documents to suppliers
Qualification
· University degree in electrical / mechanical / automotive engineering or comparable educational background, economics background.
· Knowledge of production technologies in his field
· Excellent skills of software like MS-office and windows etc.
· Proficiency with negotiations
· Technical understanding of processes at suppliers
· Competence of attending supplier evaluations and project risk assessments
· Intercultural experience and awareness
· Mobility and flexibility, be able to take domestic and international business travel, ability to work in a team, assertiveness and very good communication skills, strong own initiative and pro-activeness
· Proficient English and Chinese in reading, listening, and writing
· Experience with in the field of Automotive industry -purchasing, R&D, quality management, production, sales or project management at global automotive suppliers, OEMs or other Hi-Tech industry, 4-5 years experience
